Who this audit is for
You built a product quickly with an AI app builder or an AI coding assistant, it works in the demo, and now you are about to let paying customers, investors or a first enterprise pilot use it. You are not sure whether the parts you cannot see are safe: who can read which rows in the database, whether a secret key ended up in the browser bundle, whether a payment can be faked by visiting a success page.
Servify Labs is an AI-native product studio. Our senior engineers use AI tools every day, including Claude from Anthropic in our engineering workflow, so we know both what these tools do well and where generated code tends to need a second look. The audit is the step between "it works" and "it is ready for people who trust you with their data".
- Founders with an app built in Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Cursor or a similar tool, close to launch
- Teams preparing for a funding round or a customer security questionnaire
- Owners of a live product that grew faster than anyone reviewed it
- Companies that inherited an AI-built prototype and must decide whether to keep building on it
What the audit covers
We review the app the way an attacker and a future maintainer would, and we check the deployed app, not only the code. Every finding comes with where it is, why it matters for your launch, and a concrete way to close it.
- Database access rules: whether row-level security or an equivalent is enabled and actually restricts each user to their own data, tested against the running app
- Authentication and authorization: whether privileged routes and admin actions are checked on the server, not just hidden in the interface
- Secrets and keys: whether service keys, payment secrets or AI provider keys are exposed to the browser or sitting in repository history
- Payments: whether access is granted from verified payment provider events rather than from a browser redirect
- AI features: whether user input and model output are treated as untrusted, and whether costly AI calls have limits
- File storage: whether uploaded files are public by accident
- Deployment and recovery: environments, backups, rollback and who holds the accounts
- Maintainability: whether the codebase can be safely extended by a human team, and which parts should be refactored before new features
How the audit works
The process is short on purpose, because most founders asking for an audit have a launch date.
Free intro call
You explain what the app does, what it is built with, and what is coming up: a launch, a raise, a pilot. We tell you honestly whether an audit is the right step.
Quote and written proposal
Within about 20 minutes after the first call you receive a quote and a written proposal with the scope of the review.
Second call
The next day we walk through the proposal together and adjust the scope if needed.
Access and start
Work starts the day after the agreement is signed and the first sprint is paid. You grant access to the repository, hosting and database, ideally with read-only roles you can revoke afterwards.
Findings and plan
You receive the findings ranked by what blocks launch, what should be done soon and what can wait, with a recommended order of work. If you want, we then close the gaps for you in development sprints.
What you get at the end
A clear answer to the question you actually have: is this safe to put in front of paying customers, and if not, what exactly has to change first. The findings are written so that any competent developer can act on them, whether that is us, your own team or someone else.
Nothing is rewritten without your agreement. The goal of an audit is to keep what works and fix what does not, not to sell you a rebuild.
- A written list of findings ranked by launch impact
- A recommended order of fixes, with rough effort for each
- A view on whether the codebase is a sound base to keep building on
- Answers you can reuse in a customer or investor security questionnaire
After the audit
Many teams want the launch blockers closed straight away. Ongoing development runs in two-week sprints from $3,500, paid upfront per sprint, and you can pause or cancel anytime. If the app was left behind by a previous developer or agency, see our project takeover service for how we take responsibility for the whole codebase.
You own the code, the designs and the infrastructure from day one. We work in your repository and your accounts, so there is nothing to hand back at the end.
When we are not the right fit
We would rather say this on the first call than waste your time.
- Your budget is below the starting price for a custom project
- You only need a quick patch so a demo survives one meeting
- There is no plan to keep building or running the product after launch
Frequently asked questions
What access do you need for the audit?
Read access to the code repository, the hosting dashboard and the database or backend platform, plus a test account in the deployed app. Read-only roles are preferred, and you can revoke all access when the audit ends.
Will you rewrite my app?
No. The audit keeps everything that works and points out only what has to change. Any rewrite of a part of the app is a recommendation you can accept or decline, never a condition.
How do you handle our data and secrets during the review?
We review in your accounts with the least access needed, we do not copy production data out of your systems, and we tell you which keys should be rotated if any were exposed in the past.
How much does an AI-built app audit cost?
Audits run in two-week sprints from $3,500 each, paid upfront per sprint. The price depends on the size of the app and how many systems it touches. You get the quote and a written proposal within about 20 minutes after the free intro call.
How fast can you start?
After the first call you receive the proposal, the second call happens the next day, and work starts the day after the agreement is signed and the first sprint is paid.
Do you only audit apps built with one specific tool?
No. We review apps generated with Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Cursor and similar tools, as well as hand-written code, because the questions about data access, secrets and payments are the same.
What happens after the audit?
You can close the findings with your own team, or we can do it in two-week development sprints from $3,500 that you can pause or cancel anytime. If the previous developer has left, our project takeover service covers the whole codebase.
Who owns the code and the report?
You do. You own the code, the designs and the infrastructure from day one, and the findings are yours to share with investors, customers or another developer.
